Kill Em All is a fucking cool night. Not only does it often rock up at Fabric, it also boasts a list of guests over the last seven years that sounds like the end of LCD Soundsystem’s ‘Losing My Edge’. Erol, the Chemicals, Friendly Fires, Boys Noize, our own Maccabees, Crystal Castles, and, aptly, James Murphy have joined the promoters Filthy Dukes. Simian Mobile Disco and Justice were pretty much residents too, before anyone knew too much about them.
What were trying to say is that this mix of indie and dance music is right on it. If you want to see great DJs and bands upfront – if only for bragging rights – you’ve come to the right place, especially now that the Londoners have branched out to a monthly Brighton affair. So far we’ve had Micachu DJing, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool and O.Children, plus ace resident DJ Riton. The highlight of March’s jaunt is We Have Band playing live. Like we said, pretty fucking cool.
